Web posted: March 23, 2007 at 1:48 a.m. ET By Geneen (Pipher) Boyd After nearly 11 years as a twosome, former CLHS '90 classmates, Geneen (Pipher) Boyd and Andy Boyd recently welcomed their first child. Their daughter, Annabelle Elizabeth, came into the world on March 7, 2007 at 1:39 p.m. The couple's precious bundle of joy weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 19 3/4 inches long.
Geneen and Andy are nothing short of thrilled. "She's absolutely beautiful," the new mommy said. "Our little miracle."
Andy is just amazed at how fast time is already passing.
"Time is just flying by since Annabelle has been part of our family," he said. "I'm not sure why that is; probably a combination of things. Being very busy -- taking care of Annabelle, cleaning up around the house (still trying to get organized after our move three weeks ago), is certainly the main reason. Delirium -- caused by lack of sleep -- has also affected my perception of time. All in all, I could not be happier."
As the webmaster of this site, I guess I can say, congratulations to us! ;-)

Web posted: October 14, 2006 at 5:22 a.m. ET By Geneen (Pipher) Boyd Former Falcon Julie (Koch) Lyons has been battling cancer for several years. In the last month, it has recurred. This "uninvited guest," as she and her husband, Brendan, call it, is in her liver and her lungs.
Julie has always been one of the most upbeat, positive people I know and she is maintaining this great attitude in the face of this enormous challenge. I am writing to you on behalf of Julie and her friends. We're asking you to please remember her, her husband and their three children in your prayers. Julie and her family are strong in their faith and they believe, as do I, that through prayer anything is possible.
If you'd like to follow Julie's progess, she invites you to visit the blog she and Brendan set up to help keep friends and family members up to date on their fight against this disease. The URL is:
I'd like to encourage you to post comments for Julie using the "comments" section of her blog. If you knew Julie, you know what a wonderful, loving person she is. Please join me and several other fellow Falcons in leaving messages of support for her and her family. I know she would appreciate it.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Julie!
